Panetar - the special bridal saree from Gujarat - is close to every Gujarati bride's heart. The use of beautiful, complementary hues of red and white - symbolic of Goddess Shakti and her supreme power - are unique to Panetar. With changing times, the preference for sarees for main wedding rituals may have waned, but a clear bias towards these sacred colors continues. Nirali is a modern bride, but with her traditional preferences firmly in place. The majestic white and red Lehenga Choli ensemble she picked up is a mesmerizing juxtaposition of these two elements. Accentuated with elegant hand embroidered floral and Mughal-inspired regal motifs and a set of grand hand-made tassels, her outfit is truly dreamy. Most important, however, is the fact that Nirali brings all of this to life with her dazzling smiles and vivacious spunk. We loved her pictures, and feel super happy to see her contended with her bridal attire. Our best wishes are with this gorgeous couple. Dinkal and her family shopped for an array of outfits and sarees for her wedding... While we are extremely happy that this gorgeous bride and her loved ones truly enjoyed wearing our creations, we also want to share that the joy is mutual... At each step, as our team took them through the lovely journey of wedding and bridal outfits' treasure at Asopalav, Dinkal and her family put our assistants at complete ease. Working with such cool and sorted clients is absolutely a delight for us! Dinkal picked out two entirely different designer creations for herself. The navy blue ensemble has strokes of fusion and is modish in color and design. However for the other ritual, she wanted something traditional yet light and unique. For this look, she picked out one of finest creations of the recent times - crafted in handloom weaves and fabrics - a Lucknowi beige Lehenga with a simple red silk blouse and a grand Patola dupatta! Their choice of rest of the sarees and outfits was also splendid. We wish Dinkal a very beautiful wedded life ahead...and wish all of them happiness... From Globalization to Localization... 7th August is celebrated as National Handloom Day in India- to commemorate the Swadeshi Movement that was initiated in 1905 in erstwhile Calcutta - as a mark of protest against Britishers and foreign products. Today, we are yet again in an unprecedented situation that calls out all of us to bring back the focus from Globalization to Localization...This year, National Handloom Day and supporting local, made in India products, weaves, crafts & arts is more important than ever... We will not only support our community of weavers, artisans, craftsmen and the poor, but shall also lend a big hand in uplifting the country's flailing economy - from the grassroots... Celebrate and Cherish India's glorious handlooms, handicrafts and hand-prints... Handlooms have always been at the core of Asopalav and its designs...and shall always be! We pledge to support local, what's truly made in India by supporting, spreading and wearing handloom... #iwearhandloom #madeinindia #localization #nationalhandloomday #handloom #handloomsaree #handloomweaves #handloomsarees #handloomlove #asopalav #vocalforlocal #indianhandloom #indianhandlooms #indianhandloomsarees #indiansari #indianhandloomsilk #handloomsilk
